Personal profile & experience
Welsh being my first language, I am enthusiastic and passionate about my subject and have over 18 years experience teaching all levels of Welsh for Adults and over 7 years teaching primary & secondary aged students. Therefore, I’m confident in teaching all ages and ability. I am happy to tailor lessons to suit the student`s needs and concentrate on areas to improve e.g., exam prep/coursework, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

I have an abundance of Welsh language learning resources for KS1, 2, 3 and 4 and use the recommended Welsh for Adults coursebooks for adult learners.
Previous employment includes managing a large provision of Welsh in the Workplace and Welsh for the Family classes in the local area, as well as being involved in developing Welsh assessment and qualifications for teachers who teach Welsh as a second language at primary school level and developing an online tool to assess Welsh language skills in the workplace. I was also a Welsh Language Policy Unit Manager for two local authorities and have expertise in Welsh language policies.
AvailabilityI am available to teach face to face 1-2-1 students within 8 miles of the Pontypool area and also teach 1-2-1 students online using Zoom or Microsoft Teams, currently teaching students as far as Australia. I am available Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday daytime and also evenings on all weekdays and daytime on Sundays.
I also teach groups of students online with 10-week Introduction to Welsh, 20-week or 30-week courses available at all levels (minimum of 5 learners per block course).
